This rural and community regeneration project delivered a 55-mile long network of multi-user, mainly off-road, bridleways and routes for horse riders, cyclists and walkers across the Forest of Dean, costing £91,000 and making use of Forestry Commission tracks, existing bridleways and new Rights of Way.
This work included the production of a successful feasibility study, the commissioning and management of on-site works, liaison with the Forestry Commission and private landowners to develop the route and acquire access rights, followed by the launch of the Greenways network and its accreditation by the British Horse Society.
