The burgeoning Chinese resort city of Sanya on Hainan Island looks out over the South China Sea and for three consecutive years, the DMG has organised and promoted VIP travel industry receptions in London on behalf of the Sanya Tourism Commission. Note: Sanya (pop c. 700,000) amazingly, has nearly sixty 5-star hotels. London (pop. nearly 10m) has about ninety.
We also recently helped promote the historic city of Hangzhou to the UK travel trade via PR and online media activity and Philip Cooke has recently been appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for another historic Chinese city, Nanjing – China’s City of Emperors.
